TEMPLE TERRACE UPDATE - ALL GREENS ARE NOW OPEN! Director of Golf James Fredericks wants you to come out and experience their newly renovated greens and enjoy summer rates at historic Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club. As of today, august 5th, all greens are now open.

THE PARADISE GOLF TRIPLE CROWN HAS NOW BECOME AN INDIVIDUAL EVENT PLAY DAY - THERE ARE STILL A FEW TEE TIMES AVAILABLE AT BOTH COURSES - SIGN UP TODAY The Triple Crown event has now become a weekend of two rounds of golf in two great tracks. We will be playing the fabulous Skyview at Citrus Hills on Saturday and the Ranch Course at Black Diamond on Sunday. There's no requirement to play in both events, each event will still be a quota game. |

WHY DOES GOLF HAVE A DRESS CODE? |
|
Have you ever wondered why golfers are expected to wear collared shirts, tailored shorts or pants, and proper golf shoes? The answer goes back hundreds of years.
Golf's dress code originated in Scotland, the birthplace of modern golf. During the 15th through 18th centuries, golfers simply dressed for the weather, wearing heavy tweed jackets, wool stockings, caps, and knickerbockers to protect themselves from the cold, wet conditions on the links.
By the 19th century, as golf became popular among aristocrats and private clubs, attire evolved into a symbol of etiquette, respect, and prestige. Formal clothing reflected the game's reputation as a gentleman's sport, and by the early 20th century, private clubs had established dress standards that eventually spread throughout Great Britain and North America.
As the game evolved, so did golf fashion. Heavy jackets and ties gave way to lightweight clothing in the 1930s, the classic golf polo became popular in the 1950s and 1960s, and today's performance fabrics provide comfort without sacrificing tradition. While every club has its own policies, most courses still share a few common expectations:

Our Summer Evening League lineup has officially started, and we’re excited to bring you 2 great weekly options to enjoy competitive golf, great courses, and time with fellow Paradise Golf members. Also, Paradise members can invite non-members to participate as well!
This Summer’s Leagues: Monday Evenings — Fox Hollow
Wednesday Evenings — The Eagles
You can register for one league OR two leagues — whatever works best for your schedule. Please note: Registration closes at noon on the day of each league.
We are also exploring the addition of a Sunday afternoon Couples 9-Hole League for the summer. Stay tuned for more details as those are finalized.
