⛳ Congratulations to Paradise Golf member Doug Reeder on an incredible Hole-In-One achievement!

Doug aced Hole #13 at from 125 yards out using a perfectly knocked-down 9-iron into a 10 mph wind at Lexington Oaks.

Even more special — this was the very first hole-in-one of Doug’s golfing career!

COURSE CONDITION UPDATES

As part of maintaining top playing conditions throughout the summer, several partner clubs will be completing their scheduled aerification and maintenance programs over the coming months. We encourage all members to review the current aerification schedule before booking tee times so you can plan accordingly.

When the sun is directly behind you, your shadow can stretch across the ball and even into your swing path. While this can feel distracting, it can actually become a useful training tool if you know how to handle it.

Here are a few quick tips:

• Commit quickly to the swing — once you’re set, avoid staring at the shadow too long. Trust your setup and start the takeaway confidently.
• Focus on a small target — instead of looking at the entire golf ball, focus on a tiny spot on the front side of the ball.
• Use the shadow as feedback — your shadow can help you monitor head movement, sway, and trail knee stability during the swing.
• Trust feel over visuals — shadows can distort depth perception, especially on greens and uneven lies. Let the club’s contact with the turf guide you.
• Stay athletic and balanced — maintaining posture and stability is key when visual distractions are present.

Sometimes the best approach is simple: trust your swing, stay committed, and don’t let the shadow become the focus instead of the shot.
